Varieties listed in order of maturity.
  Variety Est. Date Description
  Sundrop   Mid Jan   Golden, traditional fruit. New Zealand’s largest selling export variety.
  Valley Gold   Mid Jan   Very firm fruit. High colour. This variety is recommended for jam making and preserving.
  Vulcan   Late Jan  

Deep orange skin with a red blush.
Firm and juicy with a sweet flavour.
  Clutha Gold   Early Feb   Clutha Gold are a modern Moorpark/Sundrop cross. The fruit has the taste of a Moorpark and the good looks of a Sundrop. Ideal for eating and preserving. Makes a brilliant coloured jam.
  Genevieve   Mid March   A new late season selection from the Nevis Fruit Company in Cromwell. Genevieve replaces the traditional Moorpark apricot with even better flavour and colour.
